My sister just recieved something in the mail.

A money order.

For THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

From someone she's never heard of.

In PARIS, FRANCE.

??

Christmas was LOVELY. Really, truly lovely. For the first time in all my twenty years of existence, I got my father a gift he hadn't asked for, that wasn't practical, and he LIKED IT. I am so incredibly happy about this. (It was a book of common college texts condensed into haiku.) And everybody else liked theirs, too.

My haul?

DIGITAL CAMERA! (So much squee. They have always sworn they would not get me one of these. Oh, the pictures I will take!)

The Harry Potter version of Scene It! I did not know this even existed. There will be much joy and competitiveness.

DVDs. TONS OF. Great Mouse Detective, Notting Hill, Rugrats...and more! It was very, very much happiness. I also finally got the Cary Grant collection they ordered from online for my birthday and I got a super deal on Toy Story 2 and Sky High from Target on Monday. I could be a couch potato all weekend if I didn't belong to my friends. Perhaps I shall simply turn them into fellow potatoes.

Those were the main, although there were others. They are getting better and better at this.

I am so excited for New Year's Eve! All but one of my gifts are fabulous...people will be so pleased with them, I love giving good gifts...and we will be sleepovering and munching and partying and geeking all the livelong night. It gives me a warm glow.

My back is a nearly-solid rock. Ow.

My friends are teh absolute Cool. Just wanted to point that out.

That is really weird. Was it really for her?

Lots of people I know got digital cameras this season. I wonder if film is going to start going the way of VHS tapes?

THE JAMMY COW.

No complete stranger ever sends me large amounts of money through the post. What am I doing wrong?

Exactly what I thought... Well, after, Oooh, keep it, keep it, or if she feels too guilty, give it to MEEEEEE...

Perhaps it is our obvious moral bankruptcy. Or some sort of karmic debt or something. ;)
