The publisher's website was (is? maybe?) running a promotion where you sent an e-mail to a certain address and requested an ARC and...they picked me! I don't know if they were giving them to everyone or I was one of the first fifty or there was a drawing or what, and I am not going to look this gift horse in the mouth. ^_^
