I imagine it's something like trying to write an HP Year 7 AU while someone sits behind you reading the actual book out loud.

I'm a canon whore anyway, and then I decided to try and make it tie into not just what had happened, but what was happening. Idk, every long fic I write turns into stealth!meta, I can't seem to stop it. It's Common Knowledge all over again.

like a foxin a foxy way ;) It can be really cool when people tie in canon, though - there was some FOB fic that took actual Pete blog posts and worked them into the story. It was fucking awesome. And you do have a nice long period of time after Ryan and Keltie broke up, between him getting Twitter and Spencer getting Twitter (Feb 28th - Mar 27th) where he *only* mentions Jon on both blog and Twitter. Sooooo much room for angst and non-communication and shenanigans with the other guys. Come to think of it.... *checks* Spencer and Shane got Twitter on the same damn day. Hah.Shit, now you've got me doing it.... Finding details is kinda fun, though, isn't it?
