Applesauce is SO EASY. SO easy. This is why we love it. You can make it, seriously, with a sharp knife, a pot, and a potato masher. You can make it more easily with other (still reasonably cheap, though) equipment...I'd recommend investing in at least a twenty-dollar strainer and a one-dollar apple slicer if you're planning to make enough for storage...but for just, like, a winter snack or side that's all you need.
