Feeling better...I got out of the room and talking to the baby and cheered up; although I'm still tired, at least I'm not in some kind of horror rictus.

And I do want to say the cheerful things--

ANDREW SAID MY NAME!!!! He is my little cousin, less than two, was running away from me a week ago. But now he knows my name and is following me around. It is so CUTE! And his big sisters, who almost worship me (and isn't it nice to be worshipped?) are also being much fun. I will be sad when they go home.

The friends are a blast, too. We went to Gardner Village to visit Amy (she works in a bookstore there) and then played while waiting for her to get off. I found an irresistible baby hat and bought it for the Wilde child, who we are going to go visit later today (hey, RL people, you are all welcome if you wish to come).

Saturday we went to the Ancient Art of the Mediterranean exhibit at the Y art museum, and I fell in love with some of the smaller pieces...especially a bound centaur from Greece. I wish I could find a replica. *sigh*

Then we did a picnic with Jen's family (let Chase find out that have current crush, did not think about consequences until had revealed, bad thing!), and then dragged Jess out of bed to watch the city fireworks. Then we had ice cream and did street fireworks and sat around talking for a long while. That last bit was the best part...that part of us has been--off--lately, but it seems to be coming back together.
