(no subject)

I bought a copy of Pretty. Odd. for the sake of support-the-artists (who will keep Ryan Ross in fluttery scarves if we don't? Spencer can't do it all by himself, Ryan has expensive bizarre taste) but actually hadn't tried to listen to it, as I had three perfectly good leaked copies on my hard drive already. I usually just listen to my iPod via radio transmitter in the car, I had the album on that, s'all good. I unwrapped the CD, stuck it in my visor-wallet thingie in which I keep the CDs I listen to repeatedly, and more or less forgot about it.

Yesterday, I didn't have my iPod with me, and so stuck the CD in for the first time. It spat it back out. Huh, I thought. I tried again. Still no go. It won't play in the car stereo or on a home one. Just, what? Fortunately Borders has it on sale atm (it came in an e-mail with a coupon for Chuck Palahniuk, which amuses me no end), so I can afford to replace it, but...why won't it play? It isn't keeping it in the car, my Hushie and Seanan McGuire CDs are fine. Wth?
