I know the evil chains are like, taking over the world, and in principle I'm totally against it, because, you know, less choice and independence dying and stuff, but after the day of the reversed tiny planet it is worth SO MUCH to be able to travel across the country and still get online and order EXACTLY the kind of pizza that I want and know it will come EXACTLY as hot and cheesy and delicious as I want it to be. So just for now, Pizza Hut for the WIN.

I am now in Lexington, KY, where I have come to celebrate the happiness of one of the awesomest people on the planet. (I stupidly forgot to get a phone number for her, so I missed the rehearsal dinner and will probably miss the girltalk and primping tomorrow, but I have an invitation, so I will not miss the wedding, as God is my witness.) The journey was fraught with difficulties, but I am terrifically glad to be here and fully intend to enjoy myself ridiculously.

Things I have missed about being in the South:

--people everywhere, from the cab drivers to the pizza delivery gal to the nice lady who pushed my wheelchair through the airport, being polite and having sweet-as-pie accents that make me feel homey and welcome and relaxed. I realise that logically I was lonelier in South Carolina than um, anywhere I have ever lived, but those sounds make me feel safe anyway

--everywhere is so GREEEEEEEEEN
