Lol. I can live w/ the explanation, but I hated that book. Well...not hated, exactly. Merely found the narrative style bad. It had a couple of great moments...What'shisname saying "My Chief Rabbit has told me to guard this burrow and I will do so to my last breath..." (that's not an exact quote, but the situation and how he says it etc. are all just breathtaking) and all the little rabbits going THIS giant has a chief rabbit? We're in trouble!
