May. 13th, 2004 11:25 pmI spent today surrounded by well-shaped men wielding sharp blades. My right arm muscles are sore and growing.
I'm afraid I have to destroy them. The blades were cardboard-cutting knives and I was doing it too--I've taken a temp job cutting the tops off boxes of shampoo from three to eleven. *sigh* And the guys are not at all my type, or even particularly pleasant.
Parental problems already in place (I've been home for what, three days?); the drive was long but fine; it's lovely seeing people again; homecomings are a lot quieter when there are more guys than girls there; arguing philosophy and religion with Chase is like arguing ship with a Pumpkin Pie Person.
I am going to die when I finally have time to catch up on the flist and updates--which probably won't be until I get the web on my own computer, as my parents have apparently decided that the web is the root of all evil and I should not be allowed near it. I was lucky enough to get approval to update my journal, so you would all know I wasn't dead, but...that was about it.
More later. I miss and love you all.

Date: 2004-05-14 12:36 am (UTC)I never realized that, but it is like arguing with a Pumpkin Pier. We shall now call him Pumpkin Pie. He will probably think we're referring to his hair. Hee hee.
As to internet...learn to love the walk to the library? Or drive, hopefully. ^_^

That's horrible!! It's just... wrong!!!!
That being said, I feel the need to ask if I should look for a new beta then. I don't want you to get in trouble.
I sent you the chapter earlier this week, and I got that odd Mailer-Daemon message from hotmail.com again, saying that the email had been delayed and was waiting in a queue. Did it ever go through and get to you? Just curious.

*pouty face* I want you home NOW, Ady! I want to see what DD character you write. *sigh* But I will not whine too much, because you can't help it.
I miss you horribly...good luck on exams, I will see you soon!

Date: 2004-05-14 12:14 pm (UTC)I seem to have forgotten my ship-acronyms! The only one I remember is 'The Honks'. What's the 'The Pumpkin Pie' again?
Last thing: did you get my latest chappie for beta-purposes?

Date: 2004-05-14 01:12 pm (UTC)Yep, I got the chappie, and I'll be able to transfer it to my own computer for betaing; if it isn't back to you by the end of Wednesday rain fire down upon me.
