Well, I started the job I'll be at for about a month this morning. It's simultaneously deadly dull and frustratingly complicated, playing havoc with my back...but at least it's off my feet and indoors. We shall be grateful for what we have.
Plus I get my very own cubicle, which I can decorate with photos, fanart, etc. It takes very little to please me--more wallspace is always good!
Amiel, my love--you are just a doll! Your postcard made me smile for days. Expect one in return soon...since you saw fit to share the beauties of your beaches--and, oh, they are many--I am sending you a picture of my mountains, which are very pretty too.
I ran a bit late, because I got up far too early and decided to be virtuous and catch up on my beta jobs. (Btw, Dave, I can't find the chapter you sent me anywhere. Can you send it again?) It took longer than I expected, but at least I'm caught up again.
We got there around nine, and missed being first by just about three minutes. *pout* But we still had fun...I had Amy read us "Not as a Last Resort" out loud--although she skipped the kissing bits, she was too embarrassed--and crocheted. We sent Chase to get Amla's keys and held his parking space in cloaks and hats. My hat, btw, was much admired, and I was asked to pose with several people, which I found amusing.
There was a panic over tickets, but heaven sent an angel down to the customer service desk and so everything was okay after all. After all the horror-struck running around I had to sit with my head on Tyler's shoulder for a few minutes to calm my pulse, and then perk myself back up to fever-premier pitch by squeeing all over everybody. The guys were long-suffering about it and the girls squeeed back.
Speaking of the guys--Chase let us dress him up as Percy, including fez with badge, and he was so cute. I must post a link when Amy posts the pics.
Then after the movie we went to the con's discussion until four-thirty in the morning. And oh, it was bliss. I've so missed talking theory and foreshadowing. *squidges the con*
