elucrehJust for the record: My computer SUX. SUX SUX SUX SUX SUX.
Last night it wouldn't connect to the web. At all. Whatsoever.
I spent FOUR HOURS with the tech guy (pretty cute, btw) while he tried everything he could think of. It was connected! There was nothing wrong! Nothing except the fact that it WOULDN'T WORK!! I de-installed all my pop-up blockers, ran Spyware six times, fiddled and fixed and finally wound up carrying the thing down three floors so that he could do all that. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
So today I have to save all my files to CD and re-install Windows XP, which I have never done before so I'll probably screw it up. If that doesn't fix it, I'll have to send it to Dell, which means that I will be at college, in a class which requires a typed two-page essay every week, with no computer, for WEEKS.
I loathe my computer right now.
In other news:
I was struck by the fact that now we stare at a blank screen as opposed to a blank page when we're blocked. This strikes me as a truly potent symbol of our society.
Someone in my Success Disc. Group is also from Sandy, UT. Small world, eh?
Was inspired by someone saying that the devil is embodied by Internet access and now playing with vindictive poem/possibly prose piece. I'm very good at hostily descriptive prose pieces and I think this one may come out well. Esp. with recent events (see above).
Must go to library and pay two weeks of fine. *sigh*
