Well…franny’s LJ is FUN!!! Just for the quizzes! I adore this!
It has been way, way too long since I did this…
Graduation is in two days. And I. Am. Freaking. Out. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?????
All of a sudden, I’m on my way to a job, a college, a place where I know no one and I’m not on the trusty staff of a mad lit magazine. How will I survive? How? I’m not ready to leave behind most of my books and my best friends and my little sister and my library and figure it all out all over. I’m just not.
To get out of the house…well, that, yes. More than. Joey has spent all day pushing big red buttons…a risky business normally, and at that time of the month…well, let’s just say nobody saw me burying any bodies. And Dad actually DID buy a new car…high-tech, sporty thing…so now El feels incredibly guilty. He didn’t ask Mom abt this…or rather, ignored her when she answered him, and she really resents it, and really thinks it was a bad idea, I can tell. So I don’t want to feel happy that Charlie is mine to use. I agree w/ her, as a matter of fact. We’re still broke. Why are we buying cars when the business still hasn’t paid us back what it borrowed from savings?
And the job hunt is not a good thing either. I need to just start filling out applications, like the girls, I suppose. But I refuse to work in a clothing store, ever again. I really hope I can get a nanny job, but in the mean time I’ve got to have something that can convince Daddy that I’m not totally slacking off.
Been reading Barb’s fics. Interesting. Not my favorite, but enjoyable. Her conception of Lily, though, is nothing less than twisted. Really, really, really twisted. And Peter is not nearly as well developed as in that other fic…Zem, forgotten the name…but anyway, whatever it is, I shall cling to that idea of him. I highly approve of it.
Oh, less than twenty days ‘til book 5…I can’t wait!!! It’s really weird to think of speculating abt book 6. I don’t want to think that far ahead.
Joined disc. groups for SR, PS, and re-joined Jo’s as eahallulat.
Which reminds me…the web page works!! I’m hoping that I can open it in Notepad and revise, since I no longer have dreamweaver…but I don’t think Dreamweaver was really all that much easier, so it doesn’t bother me a bit. I do wish we had Pagemaker, though.
Grad announcements are a PAIN. I should be working on them now (But I’m not.) Have to cut all the pics to the right size. And I have way too many great-aunts, too. Shouldn’t have offered. Should have just sent them.
Joey’s Court of Honor, which I slept through most of. And I keep nearly nodding off in Sunday School…Bro. Despain has a much too soothing voice.
Water fights and night games among us have begun. I love us, this group, laughing and playing, teasing and talking. Nothing like it in the world. Oh, how I’m going to miss them. I still haven’t shaken that dream…
Anime night @ Kimi’s was fun. That movie just made me CRACK UP. As her sentimental side is named Katie, so my cynical, little-girl snigger side is Kimi.
I hope I bought a yearbook. I’m not sure.
I really should go work on those announcements.
One last thing, though…YAY!! I can get my medallion! Just realised it, and am happy as a Lark.

(late) happy graduation!! i can't believe i missed it! :( Katina, u are going to have an awesome future. i kno u can't help but feel scared, but keep all the good times as memories and move on. don't linger, u deserve better, more experiences.
*hug* and even if u can't be around them, u'll always have friends to go along the way with u.
