Jan. 4th, 2007 04:25 pmOkay, so, the good news?
I've got my grades for my first semester back at school and they're good.
I went to see my counselor, and it is CONFIRMED that it is possible for me to graduate at the end of summer and go to Real College in the fall.
The bad news?
The graduating depends on my finishing a certain number of credits...
1)The classes I really want to take are already full, because I couldn't get to a counselor until yesterday, and didn't know what I needed, and thus didn't register.
2)The classes I'd quite like to take, even if they're not my first choice, that can't possibly all be full, have MYSTERIOUSLY VANISHED from the software that lets me register (the ENTIRE art department, for example) or else have been cancelled for the semester.
3)The classes I'd be willing to take, even if I wouldn't take them unless they're my only options left, have mostly either also been cancelled, are available ONLY during my very specific shift at work, or are being taught by a woman I have both had the hideous experience of myself and have been warned away from by others.
So basically? At this point, I am having to choose between taking classes I will most likely hate, or putting off graduating for a semester.
The other choice is to cancel my plan to take ALL the classes I know are guaranteed in summer during the summer, and just hope that some of the fun ones are being offered during the summer as well (however, if they are not, I'm back to the same dilemma, except that my last-resort choices will also not be available, and I will be forced to choose between graduating late and taking something hideous like basic physics or introduction to geometry (yes, I DID pass calculus in high school JUST to avoid having to take another math class. Ever. Again.)
I am really tempted by the thought of just putting it off, but...I'm really sick of living in my parents' house, and also they are paying for school and I don't know whether they'd let me.
GAH.
More after I've consulted with them.
