Okay, so? FIRST: OMG. SAM. SAM. I am so worried about YOOOUUUUUUU!!!!! I am!! Seriously, even if he had just said, "Just in case," before we went to black? I would be fine. Because the caution and saving Dean thing? I can understand. But NO. YOU DIDN'T. I am going to spend all night sacrificing things to Kripke on your behalf.
Second of all: the fairytales. I understand there's been some wank on the whole Sam-is-gay-for-knowing-them thing, whether he would know them just naturally or whatever, but all I can really say is this makes me desperately want to write my fic about Sam being an anthropology major. Because! I have this theory that Sam would be fascinated not only by folklore, but by how we fell away from it. Because he KNOWS it's true, he KNOWS it's out there, and he just keeps trying to understand how people came to decide that it wasn't real, came to choose not to protect themselves. And this episode has just made me WANT TO WRITE.
(Hi, Christmas ficathon deadlines. Shall I just wave as you go past?)
