There is so much to squee over in this episode, but I find that, in the end, I'm too brimful of happiness to shriek and flail the way I usually do.

Eric loves us so much, you know? When wee!Dean was opening his present, I was chanting under my breath, "Oh, Kripke, oh, Kripke, please let it, please let it, oh please Kripke," and then it WAS.

For Dean, Sam will do everything. Even give him Christmas. (There are already fics on what happened after the game, right? RIGHT??)

I loved the spook this time...and I bet cadhla was exploding with joy, evil Santa Clauses, the Healeys were right all along!...both the boys' theory and the real villains, who were truly creepy in their normalcy.

And wee!Chesters! And they didn't TELL SAM till he was what...eleven? This josses many awesome fics, but...even so! What an amazing concept, and DEAN told him the truth, and AMULET. I will probably never shut up about that bit. (Chick presents. Heh.)

There were so MANY little moments and squees in this episode--Santa, for instance, and why he closed the curtains), but...I don't think I even want to articulate them right now. I'm just gonna cling to how incredibly sadly happy it made me to watch them open oil and shaving cream and drink REALLY spiked eggnog.

The totally *blissful* smile Dean had at the end, there, when Sam made Christmas for him! And he got presents and everything!

And wee!Dean breaking into some random house for xmas gifts for Sam and they're *girl* gifts and...oh...boys...

And the amulet, Sam is making Dean the one person he trusts, because 'dad lied' and Dean didn't and...
*sniffle*

*actually, the year was 91, so that makes Sam eight. Which fits good with canon since in the pilot he said John gave him a gun when he was nine to get the monster in the closet*

The whole episode was just beyond amazing. I laughed, I cried, I got pensive. "Silent Night" will never be the same.

I swear, the thing I can't stop thinking about was the John=Santa parallel. It's just so true, and got me pissed off at John again. ^_^
