Note: it is twenty-seven degrees Farenheit (which is to say, negative five Celsius) here in our tiny mountain town.

Note: it is hailing.

Note: I have seen five girls walking around outside in some form of t-shirt, only three of them even with long sleeves.

Personally, I'm wearing a wool coat, long johns, earwarmers, gloves, scarf, and a fleece hat, and I'm still cold. Do you think I'm secretly a lizard?

Or is it just that they are crazy???

Be glad you weren't there last year. Every other day it was somewhere between -14 and -18 degrees Farenheit. The other days is was snowing. It was BAD.

The worst part was that there was rain, and it froze on the ground, so it was icy EVERYWHERE.
ick
but, yes, last year was worse. :(

They're fucking crazy... and, I realize it's Utah, but is it possible they were extremely drunk?

They are totally nuts, yeah. NUTS. Though I still wanna know how come in winter I dress warm and drink orange juice and stuff and I get horrible martian death flus, and the tiny scraps of things that wander around town in a scarf and tank top and gloves and miniskirts (...I know, right? Because the scarf totally makes up for all that other skin!) don't seem to get sick.

You can start ignoring me here:

Just being a complete and total jerk here, but five degrees beneath freezing in Fahrenheit does not translate to negative five in Celsius. the temperature you're talking about is closer to 2.778 degrees Celsius. Sorry, but I had to mention that.

And start paying attention here:
I've seen it get to -4 c here, maybe as low as -7, and....I like scarves. A lot. and layers. They are my friends. And then some kind of cream for chapped skin. And I go almost everywhere with my iPod because headphones are like earmuffs (I've even gone a few places without my iPod, but still brought my headphones. I need real earmuffs).

Sounds like you do!

(I got the weather stats off the school website, I wasn't doing the math myself.)
