OMG IT WILL BE SO AWKWARD

Because Spencer doesn't want to Brendon's fake boyfriend, he wants to be his real one, so he refuses to be Brendon's fake boyfriend, and Brendon goes in search of someone who will be his fake boyfriend! But Shane thinks Brendon is asking him to be his real boyfriend! And it's, like, three months before he realises Brendon thought both of them knew he was pretending! And in the meantime he's fallen in love with Brendon!

...I haven't yet quite worked out how Shane and Spencer fall for each other, but this explains SO MUCH of how Spencer's been behaving about this whole fake-boyfriend arrangement, I can't even begin to tell you...
