THAT'S ELENA. SHE'S AWESOME.

This was a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard one! I knew I wanted to do the Vampire Diaries, but TVD has so many awesome women. Caroline Forbes, who started out wonderful and went on getting more amazing; Katherine Pierce, who is utterly self-centered and unquestionably badass; Bonnie, who is fighting so hard to establish her identity; Jenna, who loved her niece and nephew enough to change her whole life for them.

But Elena...just wins. She's levelheaded and fiercely loyal; she's so, so, so smart. Her relationship is mostly-functional and she believes in people who don't deserve it. She can also be a little too martyrish and kind of self-centered; she's got a tendency to decide what's best for people and act on it without consulting them. But she is so, so strong.

Yes, everything yes! That's what I love most about TVD, I think (aside from Damon) - their female characterization. They are all so awesome! And strong! Out of all of them Caroline def owns my heart, though.

It was REALLY HARD to pick between Caroline and Katherine and Elena. But then I remembered the time she stabbed herself to outwit Klaus, and I just had to pick her.

That was a really great scene! And I didn't expect it to play out like that at all. I thought she was just going to go along with Elijah's plan, but then she came out with that stab, and it was AWESOME.
