elucrehHere is a tip: If you're used to oatmeal made with milk, DON'T make it with water. That was my Easter dinner, and I have to eat it because I am out of food, but it's not very appetizing. *sigh*
I'm just feeling very...lonely...today. Easter is my favorite holiday--it has all the wonderful religious meanings that I love in a holiday, but none of the pressures of Christmas. I've always spent it with my family; for the past three years, I have been the Easter bunny, and then been the little kid helping to search for the eggs both. I've spent it eating my grandmother's AMAZING potatoes and ham; tickling my cousins and playing with the baby.
Today I slept in, and I'm having water-based oatmeal, two slices of jack cheese, and a bottle of cran-apple juice for dinner. I will be spending the rest of the day cleaning my room. The only human voices I've heard are on a video. I'm in a bit of a slump.
I'm sure it'll be better tomorrow--even tonight after talking to my family--but right now it's a very empty feeling.

Date: 2004-04-20 11:20 pm (UTC)if it's any consolation (i know this is a bit late), i was alone for Easter, too. :/ family went to Houston like usual, i couldn't, so it was the first easter in forever that i wasn't with family for Easter, and the first Easter i've had here thus the first easter i can remember that wasn't sunny, warmishly cool, and absolutely beautiful (since it wasn't in Houton or Lubbock), but i drove around looking at bluebonnets, so that made me feel good ;) they are so much more than beautiful at this time of year. maybe that's why i love it so much; everything's alive. it's so wonderful.
so we'll be lonely-Easter... 2 weeks ago... buddies together <3
