If a site is down for going over its bandwidth, that means it'll be back at the first of the month? Right? Right? Or sooner would be better?

Uh....

It'll only come back on the next month if they succeed in lowering their bandwidth, I believe.

I will ask my computer programmer uncle.

It's the private site of a fic author I've become fond of.

if it's a private site, do you think it could be the same thing?

It'll be back at the end of the month. (As you might recall when checkmated got shut down a few times for bandwidth. :B)

Basically a site has an alloted number of GBs (or MBs) of bandwidth they can use every month. Once they go over that number they are shut down. But the counter starts over on the first of the next month. Then they'll be up until they go over bandwidth again.
