I did a Gryffindor thing today. I plunged in recklessly, on a moment's whim, and did something that could have very, very bad results.

My hair was three inches past my waist. Now it is an inch past my earlobes.

Eeek!

And the stylist got what I wanted backwards, so now I look like Mary Tyler Moore. Of course, when I use a hairdryer to fix what it now does "naturally" to do what I wanted it to, I look like a flapper straight out of Chicago. I give up.

(I like it, really...it's just going to take some getting used to. Plus, now that it is short I think I will take some time and play with dyes...I've been thinking about very subtly red highlights for awhile...so that would be a plus.)

In other news, my sister has a new boyfriend and asked me to double with her last night--I asked Chase to go with me. There will be a Van Halen rant/review thing at some point (when it's not incredibly late), but for now I simply have to tell this story: We went to Wyoming.

We were so caught up in an argument about--I think at that point it was how Achilles died (yes, we are nerds)--that we somehow missed a turnoff or took a wrong one or something...and by the time we realised it, we were half an hour away from an exit. We actually crossed the border into Wyoming. This will be one of those memories I will be unable to forget.

I'd forgotten, lately, how truly fond I am of Chase. He's a good person to have a conversation with. I forget that sometimes, but last night reminded me. I really am fond of him for a reason. *hugs Chase*

And last but not least--never work in telemarketing. You will abhor it with the fire of a thousand suns.

Hugs...I don't feel good

Did your hairdresser get you to donate your hair to Locks of Love? When I went in for a trim earlier this summer it was all I could do to keep my hairdresser from chopping off the whole lot. ;-)

Well, I asked her to, so it wasn't like she was attempting to butcher my hair in the name of the good work. ^_^

O.O That's some haircut.

I used to have hair as long as yours too, but due to an incident involving... well, it's a long story (http://www.livejournal.com/users/madhuri567/130066.html), I now have short hair which curls nicely and I love it. :D I just don't have the patience to manage long hair, especially hair as bushy as mine.

Wow! Chopping it all off really is a big step. I still have the longs ass ponytail of hair they cut off the first time I did that 2 summers ago. I wanna see pictures!

lol to the unexpected trip. Silly. ;) ~T

I worked at my college's call center and though I dislike telemarketing calls, I am more compassionate about the type of work they do. They're only doing what they're told. =/

ROFL, love that story :)

getting the hair chopped off, i know what that's like. i did it for Locks of Love 2 1/2 years ago. went from hair i could sit on to little flip-out couple inches above my shoulder. not as dramatic as the flapper-look, but i'm sure you look wonderful :) and isn't it SO much more wonderful to wash?? :D

lol, yes, i've heard plenty of telemarketing stories from another friend who used to work as one. let's say your combined stories have convinced me to NEVER take that as a line of work ;) talking to the little boy must've been adorably fun, tho <3
