YMMV - your mileage may vary ->most useful term EVAH in online communication.

Technically "meta"discussion is discussion about the way we discussin things (e.g., your list here is meta) but in fandom, it's also come to include critical essays on writing and reading and analyzing source text.

Have you seen this? http://www.subreality.com/glossary.htm It's multifandom and therefore doesn't include the HP-specific terms, but it might be either a place to get ideas, or a place to link to for "everything else".

You could add gen to the list because I didn't know what it meant until I asked. Oh someone else already said gen but I don't know what else to say so I'll pretend I didn't see that. :D

I don't know on the FaFi either, but NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writer's Month (Nov.) where a site runs a challenge/support group where you try to finish a novel in a month's time.

Oh, also: To "fangirl" is to...well, act the part of a fangirl. Squee, jump around, rave about quality, approve excessively. The actual act of fangirling can be either to do this for the first time (add yourself to the "list" of fangirls, so to speak), or repeating these actions due to a new chapter or fic or similar.

(Remix is where you take something written/drawn by someone else--a drabble or art usually--and rewrite it, filling out the corners, new PoV (and there's another one!) etc.)

Yes, I am paranoid.), blog, flist, f-list, abbreviations for books (SS/PS, CoS, PoA, Gof, OotP, HBP, FBaWtFT/FB/FBAWTFT[?], QttA), JKR (I used this one yesterday while speaking to my mother, and I confused the heck out of her when I said, "Jay kay are wrote..."), sex magick, feedback, review, concrit, constructive criticism, flame, flaming, SIT BOI (acronym for the theory: Sirius Is Time-travelling, Bode is Oddly Important, I forget who made it up, but if you ask around, someone can prolly tell you, because it happened in the last week. Sry, I'm lazy), Steve Vander Ark (also Lexicon Steve), waxing vs. waning moon, gibbous moon, perigee, apogee(sp?), any fanon creations that we may have forgotten aren't canon? (I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are some),

I'm not actually doing smut terms, but I have a friend (Aletino) compiling a similar dictionary for the higher-rated fics, so I'll send her here to take a look, and the ones that don't apply only to smut I'll be glad to use.

Flangst...yes, more or less. It can also mean angst over things that are less important (Ginny's angst over unrequited Harry-love rather than Remus's angst over Sirius's death, say).
