Can anyone explain to me all these people who want me to work from six to six, Monday through Saturday, for one hundred dollars a week? Not even "plus living expenses"--they expect you to be paying your rent, food, etc. On that amount.

That is less than two dollars an hour.

Also, they do not want me to discipline the children, but they want the house run, as far as I can tell, with military precision.

Just, what. Who let them have kids?
Everybody is being verbose today. I love it!

I went to Target to buy the Friends set and a new bookbag since mine was quite literally hanging on to its shoulder strap by a thread. I've saved money from the past couple of "pay periods" to afford the bag and the Friends set is this period's entertainment budget...so I really only spent a perfectly acceptable $20 on school supplies and soap, both of which I was urgently in need of. But the two extra things were $30 each and I looked at my total and felt my mind explode. Aaa! I had to repeat to myself over and over: "Thirty is the bag, you saved for it. Thirty is the movies, you've planned for it. You are not really spending eighty unexplained and unplanned dollars at Target." I'm still not entirely sure I believed me, though.
