Happy Singles' Awareness Day!
Feb. 14th, 2004 04:04 pmMy quote for today:
"'None of those conversations hearts has ever told me where to find a soulmate: I’d prefer one that said, “Live to be forty-two, never been kissed, three dogs (I hate dogs) with a job sorting mail, then move to Cleveland and walk into the third carpet-shampoo place in the phone book asking for an overweight man who smokes named Steve” to one that said, “Call me.” '"
[/quote]
I have realised 1)that people who shriek "Jessica!" make me homesick, 2)that I laugh like the hyena-woman in Sleepless in Seattle.
Am much amused. The FiR's kids were playing in the lobby where I was making flashcards. They were Ron and Hermione. General battle scenes for the most part, but there was also this scene where Hermione asked Ron to help her in the bathtub and he was all jittery and then it turned out she had all her clothes on. Tease, isn't she?
Those kids are seven and ten, people. Can we say precocious?
Many thanks to darling Annie (
ladyanabelle) for the truly hilarious e-valentine...I haven't laughed so long in ages.

Oh, and btw, EVERYONE I KNOW should read one of the ones I betaed: "Guess Who's Coming for Dinner?" by MollyMoon. It's here. And it's so funny and so IC and so brilliant. I am honored to have been the beta for it.

For everyone who totally missed that (I did) it's a sign I support Gay Marriages and if you do, please post it in your LJ also.
Have spent this evening patiently bashing into Tyler's head all that is wrong with his stance on this issue.
