Something TC asked me last night made me realise: duh, if I post about spending half a week in a falling-over haze, it's extremely likely some (or all) of you are worrying about me.

So here's the sich:

I am still having dizzy spells. How bad they are seems to go in cycles, which are three or four days from peak to peak. The doctor's first solution to this is to take me off my meds (because I REALLY NEED TO HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO MOTIVATION OR ABILITY TO FOCUS RIGHT NOW, THANKS, DOC) because dizziness can be a side-effect. (I don't get it. I've been on them a month. Surely side-effects should have shown up before that?) Ah. Apparently not. While it is a relief to know my doctor is not lying about this, it doesn't help my optimism about getting back on meds soon. *sigh*

If this brilliant solution doesn't work, I will have to go to a special clinic and have ten million tests done. Sadly enough, I am hoping this is true, because it means I can go back on my meds as opposed to waiting a month to start different meds.



I also fell down last week and chipped a bit of bone out of the palm of my hand. (Ow.)

I took a couple of weeks of almost no school/driving/moving in the hopes that this would help the dizziness. It didn't, and I can't afford anymore, so if you see me falling down in the hallways of the college or driving into a ditch, please stop and help me up/out. It will be appreciated.

(If you'd like to do the homework I haven't done, that would be appreciated too. Gah.)

It is really odd, my adult piano student is having EXACTLY the same problem.

Anyway, if I could do your homework or even portions of it I would be more than happy. Would it be alright if I came up and saw you this weekend? We could do homework and such.

I don't suppose there's any chance you'd like to come to the annual state-wide conference on marriage and family relations with me? I have to go, I'm volunteering, but that's basically just pointing people to their classes in between and I can attend the seminars when no one is in the halls.

But point is, I can get someone else in for $10 (instead of the regulation something-like-$60)...interested? They'll feed us dinner, and we can play afterward.

If not, we can still play afterward...I think it ends round seven or eight (and I may sneak out early, anyway.)

It starts at two-thirty or three...sorry, haven't had my call returned by the volunteer coordinator yet, so...*makes face* I know I have to be there at one, but we have training before it starts.

No, about a month in is pretty normal for signs of slow toxicity to show up. Your system may not be getting rid of the medicine and it's byproducts fast enough to keep up with the dosage, so you're slightly overdosing. Or that's the really simplified version. Still, best to cut back. Be as well as you can, ok?

*winces* Ow. That sounds worse than the toe stubbing I had.

*hugs* I hope it is just a side-effect of the meds, because that's relatively straightforward - lower the dose or prescribe something else.
